My fiancé and I stopped here on our way back home from our getaway weekend and it was extremely busy, but we got attended almost right away and received our food almost right away as well. As an appetizer I had the Crispy Pickles, which are lightly fried pickles served with house buttermilk and the Triple Dip, which included black bean dip, homemade queso blanco and fresh salsa with warm tortilla chips. If I could have just the crispy pickles as my main dish I most definitely would!! For the main dish I had their FD's Trio, you can pick any 3 main dishes out of 6! I had the Chicken Tenders, Grilled Shrimp, and the Fresh North Atlantic Salmon. When the plates arrived, it looked very presentable, but it didn't look like it was enough to get me filled up... I... was wrong. I had about three bites in and I was full!!! I was disappointed in myself because the food was so amazing!! And we weren't even close to being back home, but the food so was soo good we took it to go. If you ever find yourself in Springfield, MO and are looking for a restaurant with good lighting, decent prizes, and the most amazing food, I 100% recommend FD's Grillhouse!!! ”

The fish is available grilled, baked or fried and is fresh. The atmosphere is business casual and can provide well for a couple or a larger group. It is a nice place for a business lunch or a casual dinner after work with a friend. The service is friendly and the management cares about their restaraunt enough to train their servers to care for the customer. ”

The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and arrived at our table quickly. We were told the portion sizes are generous and the prices low, and they were. I had the red trout with broccoli and substituted their mashed potatoes for a house salad. That salad was like eating dessert first it was delicious. My husband had a chicken dish with bourbon glaze and a cup of gumbo. He loved the chicken but would have enjoyed a bowl of the gumbo as his meal. Now for the key lime pie. ”

“ We attempted to eat here after church on a Sunday. We were not able to find a single open parking spot. We were very disappointed as we have been meaning to try this restaurant since moving to Springfield. After we chose another restaurant, it occurred to us that the sheer number of cars packing their lot was a good sign, so we determined to visit during the week. This turned out to be a great plan. Immediately upon entering it seemed we had stepped into another well-managed restaurant. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our server was economical with her steps and did not forget little details. She checked on us frequently. While we waited for our food we watched tables being cleaned and the floor swept and vacuumed. They did not disturb guest, but made efficient work of keeping it clean. The food was excellent. We shared a spinach dip appetizer and two-breast Hawaiian Chicken Dinner. The chicken was tasty and perfectly cooked and the whipped potatoes were delicious. There was none of the promised garlic butter on our broccoli, but it was properly cooked and tasty enough. Everything was served hot. Both choices were recommended by the server and did not disappoint. We're were very full when we left. It's nice to encounter restaurants that understand the art of service and train to deliver. ”

We were really hankering for burgers and I read the Yelp reviews and had to try them out. We were not disappointed. The burgers were so meaty! Perfectly made with great tasting fries as the side.
